Telangana CM asks officials to allot Indiramma Houses to deserving families

Hyderabad, Apr 13 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed the officials to allot Indiramma houses only to the deserving families.
Reviewing the allotment of Indiramma houses at his residence here on Saturday night, Revanth Reddy asserted that only the poorest of the poor and deserving families should get the benefit of the Indiramma Housing scheme.
Indiramma committees should take the responsibility of selecting beneficiaries at the village level, and only the deserving should be selected. He ordered a team of Mandal officials (Tahsildar, MPDO, and Engineer) to carry out a field inspection on the list prepared by the Indiramma Committee.
The Chief Minister warned that cases will be booked against the persons who are exploiting the Indiramma housing scheme for monetary gains.
The officials have also been asked to take legal action and recover money from ineligible beneficiaries.

The CM said that the Indiramma house scheme beneficiary should also be given an opportunity to build an additional 50 percent of the house sanctioned based on his convenience.

Revanth Reddy instructed the officials to ensure that Cement and Steel are supplied at an affordable price to the beneficiary.
State Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, CMO Principal Secretaries V. Seshadri, Chandrasekhar Reddy, CM Joint Secretary Sangeetha Satyanarayana, CM Housing Secretary Jyoti Buddha Prakash, and others attended the review meeting.
