AP: Dy. CM emphasizes need of conservation of water

Vijayawada, April 7 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan emphasized the need of conservation of water and asserted that the Jal Jeevan mission programme was launched to provide drinking water to every household.
Pawan Kalyan participated in the one day workshop on Sources sustainability & Ground Water Sources in the Rural Water Supply here on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, the deputy Chief Minister said that the State Government has undertaken a programme called "100 Days Water Consumption Drive" from April 6th to July 14th to create awareness among the people and take steps like increasing groundwater, preventing water wastage, using water carefully, and harvesting rainwater.
Stating that where there is water, there is good development, he said that the rivers like Godavari, Krishna, Penna and Vamsadhara are the lifeline for the improvement of the living conditions of the people of Andhra Pradesh.
