AP CM flags off advanced firefighters

Vijayawada, April 7 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday flagged off newly inducted advanced fire tenders and equipment at parade grounds here on Tuesday.
As part of the department’s modernisation initiative worth Rs 252.93 crore, the government has introduced new vehicles and equipment valued at Rs 33.25 crore. The Chief Minister stated that the Andhra Pradesh Fire & Disaster Management Department will be developed into a role model for other states in the country.
As part of the initiative, in the first phase, the state government procured 25 advanced fire tenders at a cost of Rs 18 crore, 40 Quick Response Vehicles equipped with high-pressure pumps at Rs 10 crore, 50 inflatable rubber boats acquired at Rs 2.49 crore, 30 BA set compressors procured at Rs 2.08 crore.

AP: YSRCP demands inquiry into the allegations on NEET UG 2026

Vijayawada, May 11 (UNI) Dr Ambati Naga Radhakrishna Yadav, Chairman of the e YSRCP NTR District Doctors' Wing has formally written to the union Health Minister demanding an immediate and comprehensive independent inquiry into the grave allegations surrounding the NEET UG 2026 examination held on May 3.
He expressed his profound concern over reports from the Rajasthan Police Special Operations Group (SOG), which suggest that a "guess paper" sold for exorbitant sums contained nearly 150 questions identical to the official exam.
