One killed, 2 hurt in matchstick godown blaze, Stalin announces solatium

Chennai, Mar 2 (UNI) One worker was killed and two others were injured when a fire broke out at the Matchstick godwown at Kovilpatti Taluk om Pandavarmangalam village in the southern Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu, even as Chief Minister M K Stalin announced financial assistance to the deceased family and to the injured duo.
Police sources said the incident took place at around 0830 hrs in which Karthik (27) was killed on the spot.
The injured, Sudalaimuthu (42) and Ganesan (47), who is a native of Kerala and was residing at Kovilpatti Taluk, were admitted to the Thoothukudi Government Medical College Hospital.
