Bodies of 2 girl college students recovered from Poovam river

Kannur, Jul 4 (UNI) Bodies of two female students of SIGBA College at Kalliad near Irikkur, who were drowned in Poovam river at Padiyur on July two, were fished out by National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel on Thursday.
According to police, the body of Shaharbana (28) of Edayanoor was fished out 300 metres away from the accident spot at Poovam Kadavu adjoining to Pazhassi water resources near Padiyoor, at around 0800 hours in the morning.
While, the body of Surya (21) of Nalampeedika near Chakkarakkal was recovered at around 1230 hrs by the 30-member NDRF team of Chennai.
