J and K: Army, police trade fire with terrorists after infiltration attempt

Kupwara (J&K), Oct 4 (UNI) The Army and Jammu and Kashmir police launched a joint operation and traded fire with terrorists in Gugaldhar of Kupwara district after an intelligence input about an infiltration attempt on Friday.
"Based on intelligence about infiltration attempt, a joint operation by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police was launched at Gugaldhar, Kupwara," an Army spokesperson said.
The alert troops spotted suspicious activity and challenged, leading to an exchange of fire with terrorists.
