Jalandhar youth Krish Bhagat joins the Mumbai Indians for IPL 2026

Chandigarh, April 16 (UNI) In a significant boost for Punjab's cricketing talent, Krish Bhagat, a promising all-rounder from Jalandhar West, has been officially inducted into the Mumbai Indians squad for the ongoing 2026 IPL season. The franchise announced Bhagat's inclusion today as an additional replacement player, marking a major milestone in the young cricketer's career.
According to the team management, Bhagat will be drafted into the playing XI as soon as a tactical or injury-related replacement is needed.
Bhagat, who is the nephew of Punjab’s Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat, has been a consistent performer in the domestic circuit. Known for his versatility on the field, he has earned a reputation for his aggressive batting style and his ability to deliver crucial breakthroughs with the ball. His selection follows a string of impressive performances at various competitive levels, which caught the attention of the Mumbai Indians' talent scouts.
