Drones sighted, power switched off in Suranussi military area in Jalandhar, Dasuya, Hoshiarpur and Amritsar

Jalandhar, May 12 (UNI) An alert has been sounded in Jalandhar, Amritsar, Dasuya, Pathankot and Hoshiarpur after some flying objects, said to be UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), were seen near these areas. The civil administration of these districts has ordered a black out.
Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Aggarwal said that as a precautionary measure, lights have been switched off in some areas around Suranussi in Jalandhar as there have been reports of some drone sightings.
He said the administration is verifying whether they were actually drones.
