Metallic debris falls from sky in Punjab's Hoshiarpur village, causing panic

Hoshiarpur, May 7 (UNI) Panic gripped residents of Ghagwal village in the Dasuya area of Hoshiarpur district after a large metal piece reportedly fell from the sky into the courtyard of a house in the early hours of Wednesday.
The incident occurred around 1:30 am when villagers heard a loud explosion. According to an eyewitness, the deafening sound forced the people to rush out of their homes. They discovered a large piece of metal in their courtyard. The object was reportedly emitting smoke and a buzzing sound.
SHO of Hajipur police station, Harprem Singh, who reached the spot with his colleagues, said that a forensic team has been called to investigate the matter.
