CM Mann finalises year-long celebrations for 650th Parkash Purab of Guru Ravidass

Chandigarh, Apr 11 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Saturday finalized an extensive series of events to commemorate the upcoming 650th Parkash Purab of Guru Ravidass in an unprecedented manner.
Following a high-level meeting with the Sant Samaj at Punjab Bhawan, the Chief Minister announced that the state will host year-long celebrations aimed at taking the Guru's message of equality and human dignity to the global stage. The finalized plan includes seminars, kirtan samagams, yatras, and a massive environmental initiative involving the development of 650 acres of ‘Guru Ravidass Bagichis’ across the state.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Mann expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to oversee these historic celebrations, noting that his government will spare no effort in ensuring the events are organized on a grand scale. He emphasized that the teachings of Guru Ravidass, which advocate for an egalitarian society free from discrimination, remain a guiding light for humanity. The Chief Minister sought the continuous guidance and suggestions of the Sant Samaj to shape the global commemoration, asserting that it is the collective responsibility of the state to disseminate the Guru's philosophy of universal welfare.
