Uncertainty looms over Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann's Pathankot visit amid protest threats

Chandigarh, Apr 11 (UNI) Preparations have been finalized at the Ramlila Ground in Pathankot for a high-profile state-level event scheduled for Sunday to mark Nav Samvatsar. While the venue has been decorated and placed under a multi-tier security blanket, significant uncertainty remains regarding the attendance of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal.
While local party leaders maintain that the Chief Minister will attend, administrative officials have yet to confirm the visit, leading to confusion among party workers. Sources suggest that the Chief Minister’s schedule on Sunday morning includes a program at Talwandi Sabo followed by two other engagements, which may prevent his arrival in Pathankot.
The local administration has taken stringent security measures for the event, with Additional District Magistrate Arshdeep Singh declaring the Ramlila Ground and its surrounding 500-meter radius a "no-drone zone." Senior police officials visited the venue on Saturday to review security arrangements and instructed personnel to remain on high alert.
