UP govt begins 15-day special cleanliness drive in Maha kumbh area

Prayagraj, Feb 28 (UNI) After the conclusion of Maha Kumbh, which showcased its spiritual grandeur but also set new records, a 15-day special cleanliness drive was launched on Friday to clean and sanitise the Sangam area, ghats, and the permanent and temporary roads of the fair area, official sources said here on Friday.
Sources said that during the conclusion of Maha Kumbh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath felicitated sanitation workers for their relentless service and directed officials to ensure that the Mela grounds remain clean and pristine.
The drive is being spearheaded by Special Officer Akanksha Rana, with Swachhata Mitras and Ganga Sewa Doots actively participating in restoring the sanctity of the site.
