PM Modi unveils Rs 8,260 cr development projects for Uttarakhand

Dehradun, Nov 9 (UNI) Celebrating 25 years of Uttarakhand's formation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for transformative infrastructure and development projects worth Rs 8,260 crore across the state. The occasion also saw the release of a special commemorative postal stamp honoring the state's remarkable journey.
The ambitious projects cover critical sectors including drinking water, irrigation, technical education, energy, urban development, sports infrastructure, and skill enhancement. Modi further released Rs 62 crore under the PM Fasal Bima Yojana to support over 28,000 farmers of the state.
Among the key initiatives, the Prime Minister inaugurated enhancements to Dehradun's water supply under the AMRUT scheme, an electrical substation in Pithoragarh, solar power installations in government buildings, and a new AstroTurf hockey ground at Haldwani Stadium in Nainital.
