BJP leader Sudhir Sharma says CM’s claims on Himachal finances far from reality

Shimla, Apr 5 (UNI) BJP leader and MLA Sudhir Sharma launched a sharp attack on the Congress government over the statements made by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu during his recent visit to Assam, alleging that they presented a misleading picture of Himachal Pradesh before the rest of the country.
In a statement here on Sunday, Sharma said the Chief Minister had claimed in Assam that the state was not facing any financial crisis and that government employees and pensioners were receiving their salaries and pensions on time. He also referred to the government’s announcements regarding financial assistance to women and other welfare measures.
Questioning these claims, the BJP leader said that if the situation was as positive as projected by the Chief Minister, people in the state would not be repeatedly coming out on the streets to protest over various issues. He alleged that the government’s statements were far removed from the ground realities being faced by the people.
