Doctors at Hamirpur Medical College transform life of 36-year-old Rajan Mankotia

Hamirpur(HP), Feb 16 (UNI) Doctors from the Orthopaedics Department at Dr. Radhakrishnan Government Medical College (RKGMC), Hamirpur, successfully performed a very rare surgery to give a new lease of life to a young patient.
Rajan Mankotia, 36, from the Nadaun area, who suffered from the rare condition of ankylosing spondylitis, had both his knees and hips defused.
When he came to RKGMC Hospital, Hamirpur, to obtain a disability certificate due to his inability to walk, Dr. Shikhar Dogra of the Orthopedics Department recommended knee and hip replacements. After receiving a few necessary medications at AIIMS, Rajan underwent a hip replacement at RKGMC Hospital, Hamirpur, in November 2024.
