Haryana committed to preserving Sikh Gurus' legacy: CM Saini

Chandigarh, April 13 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday asserted that both the union and State governments are steadfast in their efforts to disseminate the principles and teachings of the Sikh Gurus across all sections of society.
Addressing a massive gathering as the Chief Guest at the state-level Baisakhi Mahotsav 2026 in Kurukshetra, the Chief Minister emphasized that these initiatives are vital for safeguarding the nation’s Guru tradition and its vast cultural legacy.
The festival, organized by the Department of Art and Cultural Affairs in coordination with the district administration at the KDB Mela Ground, saw the Chief Minister participating in several high-profile activities. He inaugurated an extensive exhibition detailing Sikh history and state development schemes, flagged off wrestling competitions for men and women, and participated in an international kite-flying event.
