India, Germany sign 27 pacts, including on cooperation in Defence, education, economy

Gandhinagar, Jan 12 (UNI) India and Germany on Monday signed 27 pacts, including 11 Joint Declarations and six Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) for strengthening bilateral cooperation in several areas, including Defence and Security, economy, higher education, critical minerals, information technology and telecommunications.
The two countries also announced visa-free transit for Indian passport holders for transiting through Germany and signed a roadmap for cooperation in higher education.
It was also agreed to open an Honorary Consulate of Germany in Ahmedabad.
