UP Police to hold state-wide “Run for Unity” on Sardar Patel’s 150th birth anniversary

Lucknow, Oct 30 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh Police will organise a state-wide “Run for Unity” marathon on October 31 to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The event, dedicated to the Iron Man of India, aims to strengthen citizens' commitment to the nation’s unity and integrity.
Inspector General (Law and Order) L. R. Kumar announced the plans at a press conference today.
The run will be held from 7 am to 10 am simultaneously across all districts, police commissionerates, and the state headquarters. The IG confirmed that trainee male and female constables, police personnel, students, NCC cadets, scouts, social workers, prominent sportspersons, and local citizens will participate. Each leg of the run will cover 1 to 1.5 kilometres, starting from the respective police stations and headquarters.
