Large-scale events announced for UP Day 2026 across India and abroad

Lucknow, Jan 18 (UNI): Uttar Pradesh will organise 'UP Day 2026' from January 24 to 26 on a grand scale to showcase the state’s rich heritage, cultural vitality and developmental achievements to citizens across India and abroad, Tourism and Culture Minister, Jaiveer Singh, announced here on Sunday.
Uttar Pradesh Day marks the historic occasion when the state was renamed from United Provinces to Uttar Pradesh on January 24, 1950. Since 2018, the government has been observing the occasion as a three-day celebration to highlight the state’s social, cultural and economic progress.
This year’s celebrations will be held under the theme ‘Developed India- Developed Uttar Pradesh’. Events will take place simultaneously in Lucknow, Noida and all districts of the state, ensuring widespread public participation.

Mathura, February 6( UNI) As large numbers of devotees continue to visit the Radharani temple in Barsana, the temple management has decided to introduce a new crowd-control system. To ensure smoother and safer darshan, a free token-based system will be implemented across all entry routes after Holi.
Now, devotees will be given darshan through a token system. Under this system, counters will be set up within the temple premises where devotees will receive free tokens, and darshan will be permitted according to the token numbers.
