BRICS Culture Working Group Meeting to be held in Varanasi on June 4-5

Varanasi, Jun 3(UNI) Varanasi, also known as Kashi or Banaras, the parliamentary constituency represented by Narendra Modi since 2014 -- widely regarded as one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities -- is once again set to witness a historic international event. After successfully hosting G20 meetings, Varanasi will now host the second meeting of the BRICS Culture Working Group on June 4 and 5.
The meeting, scheduled to be held at the Taj Hotel on June 4 and 5, will bring together senior diplomats, policymakers, cultural experts and distinguished delegates from India and abroad.
Uttar Pradesh is increasingly emerging as a major centre for global events. The continuous efforts of the state government towards preserving cultural heritage, promoting tourism, supporting local products and generating employment have resulted in Kashi once again getting an opportunity to present its rich cultural identity on an international platform.
