Talk about your promise to provide sky buses: Congress tells Gadkari

Chandigarh, May 22 (UNI) Congress on Wednesday criticised Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari for going back on his promise to launch sky buses in Chandigarh and accused the BJP of using its national level leaders to “distract” the people from the real issues during elections.
Chandigarh Congress spokesperson Rajiv Sharma reminded the people that Gadkari had assured the people of Chandigarh ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections that after the Sky buses start plying in the city, there would be a revolution in local transportation in Chandigarh and all the traffic problems would vanish. He said Gadkari had made the promise at an election rally in support of then sitting BJP MP Kirron Kher.
He said since Kher's re-election in May 2019, the people of Chandigarh have been waiting for the minister to fulfill his promise.
