LS Elelction: Congress believes in unity in diversity: Tewari

Chandigarh, May 9 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) candidate from Chandigarh Parliamentary Constituency Manish Tewari on Thursday said the Congress strongly believes in the concept of unity in diversity and did not need any lessons or certificate from anyone, much less the BJP.
Replying to a question about the reported statement of former Chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress, Sam Pitroda, Tewari said, he had not heard what actually he (Pitroda) had said and meant and was not in a position to comment about that.
But, he made it categorically clear that the Congress stand is clear that it treats every sect, every caste, every religion, every region, and every language with equal respect and dignity.
