Punjab: SAD (Badal) and Congress leaders join AAP

Chandigarh, 23 May (UNI) In a boost to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday, a former state Sports Minister belonging to the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and several Congress leaders joined Punjab's ruling party.
AAP Punjab President and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann formally inducted all the leaders into the party fold. Mann said people from every corner of Punjab are joining AAP, as they want to work to make Punjab Rangla again. "The leaders of all parties are impressed by the pro-people and pro-Punjab decisions of our government," he said.

In Malerkotla, Former minister and SAD leader Nusrat Ali Khan Baga joined AAP along with his supporters.
In Faridkot constituency, SAD PAC member Rajinder Das Rinku Samadhavala and 2-time NSUI president and former Youth Congress president Gursharan Singh Kabalwala joined the AAP.

At the same time, Jathedar Balwant Singh Nandgarh's son-in-law and Dastar Federation president Bhai Pargat Singh Bhodipura, also joined AAP.
On this occasion, Mann said AAP is getting praise from the people of Punjab, who feel the present government has done more work in two years than what the previous governments did in 70 years. UNI GS SSP

Punjab: Mann govt’s land pooling scheme unconstitutional, anti-farmer, says Chugh

Ludhiana, Jun 13 (UNI) BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh today came down heavily on Punjab's Bhagwant Mann government, berating its "unconstitutional and anti-farmer policies" including the land pooling scheme and demanded it be withdrawn immediately.

During his campaign for the Ludhiana West Assembly bypoll, Chugh met farmer delegations, especially from 37 villages affected by the land pooling scheme. He was handed a detailed memorandum by the farmers, seeking urgent intervention and protection of their land rights.
