21.56 pc voting in Baramulla till 11 am

Srinagar, May 20 (UNI) An estimated 21.56 percent of 17.32 lakh voters exercised their franchise during the first four hours of polling for the Baramulla Parliamentary seat on Monday during the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections.
An official spokesman said that 21.56 percent votes were polled till 11 am for the Baramulla Lok Sabha seat.
The highest number of 24. 21 percent votes were polled at Langate followed by 23.88 Rafiabad, 23.42 percent at Handwara, 23.20 Karnah and 23.18 at Bandipora during the first four hours of polling.
Sopore Segment of the Baramulla constituency recorded the lowest 11.75 percent during the first four hours of polling followed by Baramulla 18.86 percent and Gurez 19. 69 percent.
Similarly, 23.00 percent votes were polled at Beerwah, 22.93 percent at Lolab, 22.89 percent at Uri, 22.85 percent at Trehgam, 21.69 percent at Budgam, 21.51 percent at Wagoora-Kreeri, 21.29 percent at Sonawari, 20.04 percent at Gulmarg, 20.40 percent at Kupwara and 20.20 percent at Pattan.
The voters will decide the fate of the 22 candidates who are in the fray for the Baramulla Lok Sabha Seat and among them the prominent are National Conference Vice president and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Lone, Peoples Democratic Party candidate Fayaz Mir and jailed Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) chief Abddul Rashid Sheikh alias Engineer Rsahid who is contesting as an Independent candidate from the prestigious seat.
