CM launches NSUI ‘Drug-Free Campus’ campaign in Himachal

Shimla, Jan 20 (UNI) Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday, inaugurated the NSUI District Mandi’s ‘Drug-Free Campus’ campaign from Shimla, reinforcing the state government’s commitment to eliminating drug abuse, particularly the menace of chitta, among young people.
The campaign aims to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug addiction and to encourage them to engage in education, sports and other constructive activities. It will focus primarily on school and college campuses, which have been identified as critical spaces for preventive intervention and awareness-building.
Addressing the occasion, the Chief Minister said that initiatives such as the ‘Drug-Free Campus’ campaign play an important role in strengthening the government’s vision of a drug-free Himachal Pradesh.

Class 10 student found dead in abandoned Manesar building, family alleges foul play
