Over 22K youth trained under 'Project Praveen' to prepare future-ready workforce

Lucknow, May 3 (UNI) Over 22,000 youth across Uttar Pradesh are currently undergoing skill training under Project Praveen, a flagship initiative to create a skilled and future-ready workforce, which aims to bridge the gap between education and employability, official sources said here on Saturday.
Sources said that the scheme aligns with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision of transforming UP into an economic and industrial powerhouse by building a workforce that meets the evolving demands of various sectors. "By prioritising skill development at the school level, Project Praveen boosts employability and promotes self-reliance among the youth," they said.
Sources said that so far, more than 25,000 students have been trained in various job roles, better equipping them to compete in the job market. "In the academic year 2024-2025, the project was operational across 179 government schools, covering 56 districts and offering training in 14 job roles," they said.

Chandigarh, June 14 (UNI) Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij launched a strong attack on the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab and questioned “Who is holding back our SYL (Sutlej-Yamuna Link) water? The Supreme Court has already given an order to provide water to Haryana, but who is stopping it and who is stealing the water? Our fields are thirsty, while all the water flows away into Pakistan.”
He further said that "AAP is playing politics within Punjab, but even politics should remain within limits."

Vij was responding to questions asked by the media persons in Panipat about the recent incident where Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was shown black flags and called a “water thief” during his visit to Punjab.
