Over 150 sheep killed as speeding truck runs over herd in Siddharthnagar

Siddharthnagar, Oct 31 (UNI) A horrifying accident this evening shocked residents of Siddharthnagar district when a speeding truck ran over a large herd of sheep near Dhebarua village under the Dhebarua police station area.
Around 150 sheep were killed instantly, while more than 100 others were severely injured. The truck also rammed into a parked pickup van, leaving its driver injured. Police have seized the vehicle and detained the truck driver.
According to reports, Budhai, son of Chhote Lal and a resident of Dhebarua village, was returning home from the fields with over 350 sheep. The herd was walking along the roadside and was only a short distance from the village when the speeding truck lost control and plowed into them.
