Head constable arrested for selling cannabis in Azamgarh

Azamgarh, Nov 30 (UNI) In a shocking incident that once again brought embarrassment to the Uttar Pradesh Police, a head constable posted in the Deogaon police station area in Azamgarh, identified as Deepak Chaudhary, was caught red-handed selling cannabis.
Following an inquiry by the Circle Officer (CO), he was arrested and sent to jail, police officials said on Sunday. The incident has raised serious questions about the integrity of the police department.
According to reports, the Lalganj outpost in charge was conducting routine checks when locals informed him that a man was selling narcotics to passersby. Acting swiftly, the police reached the spot and apprehended the suspect.
