Punjab: Police arrest three smugglers with 1kg heroin, Rs 45 lakh drug money

Chandigarh, May 17 (UNI) In a major crackdown on the drug nexus, Commissionerate Police Amritsar busted a smuggling network and arrested three accused with over one kg heroin, Rs 45.19 lakh drug money, and a cash counting machine, said DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav here on Saturday.
He said that FIRs under the NDPS Act are registered at PS Gate Hakima and PS Verka.
Further investigation is underway to trace the forward and backward linkages.
