Major theft in Rapti Sagar Express: scientist’s wife loses jewellery worth Rs 15 lakh

Lucknow, Nov 3 (UNI) A major theft took place on board the Rapti Sagar Express (Train No. 12512) when the wife of a senior scientist from the National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) was robbed during the journey.
Jewellery worth nearly Rs 15 lakh was stolen from her purse while the train was en route to Lucknow after the Diwali holidays, police said today.
According to reports, Dr. Manish Bhoyar, a senior scientist originally from Wardha district in Maharashtra, was travelling with his wife, Bhagyashree, in the First AC coach (H-1) of the Rapti Sagar Express.
