Punjab police arrest 2 gangsters in encounter

Chandigarh, July 14 (UNI) Punjab Police arrests two gangsters Deepak and Ramandeep Singh after an encounter and solves two incidents within 12 hours.
DGP Gaurav Yadav said here on Sunday that, two gangsters have been apprehended from Banur, Rajpura by Patiala Police, they were involved in the two firings incidents late Saturday night at Rajpura-Patiala toll plaza and a liquor vend at Rajpura.
He said that they were coming from Mohali when the police party intercepted them, in an attempt to evade arrest they opened fire on the police party. Police party fired back in self-defence and one gangster was injured in cross-firing. Police recovered one revolver and one pistol.

Shimla, June 19 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh High Court has held that under the Motor Vehicles Act, compensation for loss of income is limited to financially dependent legal heirs, however, married daughters, though not financially dependent on their deceased father, are still entitled to compensation under the head of "loss of consortium".

Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College (PJLNGMC), Chamba, for pursuing a super specialty course in Medical Oncology.
