Chandigarh, Feb 27 (UNI) In its ongoing drive against corruption, the Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB),
on Thursday arrested an Assistant Sub-Inspector Ranjit Singh, posted at Anaj Mandi police station in Patiala, red-handed when he was accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000.
A VB spokesperson stated that a police case was registered against the complainant at the aforementioned police station and ASI Ranjit Singh, the investigating officer, had demanded Rs 15,000 in exchange for helping him in the case.
