NIA searches Anantnag forest in Red Fort blast probe

Srinagar, Dec 9 (UNI) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is carrying out searches in a forested belt of Hatmura in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district as part of its probe into last month’s Red Fort blast in New Delhi.
Officials said on Tuesday that NIA teams, assisted by Police and CRPF, brought along two accused to the Mattan forest area after they reportedly disclosed the presence of suspected hideouts used by the module. The search operation continued till last reports.
The forest search is part of efforts to trace the module’s movements, logistics, and possible hideouts in south Kashmir.

Youth stabbed to death near the BJP office in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, Jan 15 (UNI) A young man riding a scooter was stabbed to death in broad daylight near the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office in Sector 37 here on Friday, triggering concern over public safety in a busy administrative area of the city. The attack was carried out by two assailants who arrived on a motorcycle and fled after the assault.
