Haryana: One arrested in Rs 10 lakh ransom demand case

Kaithal (Haryana), June 17 (UNI) The Haryana police have arrested an accused in a case related to an alleged demand for Rs 10 lakh ransom in Kaithal district,.
Deputy Superintendent of Polie Lalit Kumar said a resident of Pumdri complained that he received a WhatsApp call from a foreign number on May 28 when the caller identified himself as Naveen Tyontha and threatened to kill him and his family members if he did not cough up Rs 10 lakh.
"Give me Rs 10 lakh. otherwise I will kill you. I will get you and any member of your family killed," the caller said, according to the complainant.
