Buddha's sacred relics to be exhibited at Sarnath's Mulagandha Kuti Vihar from November 3 to 5

Varanasi, Oct 31 (UNI) The sacred relics of Lord Buddha will be exhibited for public veneration at Mulagandha Kuti Vihar, Sarnath, from November 3 to 5, marking one of the most awaited spiritual gatherings of the year.
The event coincides with the 94th anniversary of the Vihar, located at the site where the Buddha gave his first sermon, the Dharmachakra Pravartana.
The three-day ceremony is being organized by the Maha Bodhi Society of India, Sarnath Centre, in collaboration with the Venerable Vietnamese Sangha and devotees from Hanoi, whose support has made the exposition possible.

Shimla, Dec 15 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh government on Monday lauded the Directorate of Forensic Science's (DFS) performance, noting that the department received 12,209 cases for forensic examination and issued 12,120 forensic reports conforming to international standards, between January 1- November 30 this year.

No interference will be allowed in J-K's hydroelectric projects: Omar

Srinagar, Dec 15 (UNI) Amid allegations of interference in hydroelectric power projects in Jammu region by a BJP MLA, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday said any such interference must be taken seriously as these projects are of national importance.
“There should be no interference. And this should be looked at very seriously,” he told reporters here, asserting that institutions which earlier functioned under the elected government must be restored to it.

Punjab Vigilance Bureau nabs 11 persons red handed in 8 bribery cases
