Farmers protest across Punjab; effigies of CM Mann & PM Modi burnt

Chandigarh, Oct 6 (UNI) The Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, along with allied farmer organizations, staged a statewide protest across Punjab today, targeting both the state and Central governments.
Demonstrations took place at 59 locations in 14 districts, where protesters burnt effigies of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to express their discontent.
Sarwan Singh Pandher, the leader of Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, highlighted the severe impact of recent floods that devastated crops, livestock, shops, and livelihoods of farm laborers.
