UP: Six killed, 1 injured as tractor-trolley overturns after being hit by bus

Jaunpur (UP), Feb 26 (UNI) Six people died and one was injured when a tractor-trolley overturned after being hit by a roadway bus in the Sikrara area of Jaunpur district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said on Monday.
Police sources said the incident took place late on Sunday night when the tractor-trolley carrying labourers was hit by the bus coming from Prayagraj near Samadhganj Bazar village.
"After being hit by the bus, the tractor-trolley overturned, killing Neeraj Saroj (28), Rajesh Saroj (45), Sangram Saroj (25), Chaai Musahar (20), Atul Saroj (30), and Govinda Bind (30) on the spot," they said.
Police sources said one labourer sustained serious injuries in the accident and has been admitted to the hospital.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr Ajay Pal Sharma, along with ASP (Rural) Shailendra Kumar Singh and other officers, reached the spot after the incident.
