Woman dies in car fire near UP's Badaun, husband injured while trying to save her

Badaun, April 11 (UNI) A woman was burned alive in a car fire while her husband sustained serious injuries attempting to rescue her late Friday night in the Usahait area of the district, police said.
According to reports, Arpit Bhardwaj, a resident of Usahait, was returning home with his wife Priya from Lucknow after she was discharged from a private hospital. Around 1:30 am, when their car reached near Rahauta village, smoke suddenly began to emerge from the vehicle. Within moments, the car was engulfed in flames.
Sensing danger, Arpit immediately pulled over and managed to get out of the car. He then tried desperately to rescue his wife, who was asleep in the back seat. However, the fire spread rapidly, and due to intense flames and thick smoke, he was unable to reach her. Priya was burned alive inside the vehicle, reports said.
