Rajasthan: Three labourers die, five injured in wall collapse

Jaipur, Aug 4 (UNI) Three labourers, two of them women, were killed and at least five others were seriously injured when the wall of an under-construction building collapsed in Bharja village near Pindwara town in Sirohi district of Rajasthan today.
The labourers were engaged in the work on the third floor of the building when the rain-soaked wall caved in, burying the victims under the debris.
Three labourers died on the spot, while 5 were rushed to the nearby hospital in Rohida. They were later referred to the hospital at Abu Road, police said.

Haryana tightens rules on long-vacant university posts, case-by-case approval retained

Panchkula, Aug 18 (UNI) The Haryana Finance Department has revised its economy measures for State Universities, informing all Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments and Vice-Chancellors of state universities that newly created posts remaining vacant for four years may be treated as deemed abolished, while departments requiring such posts to be filled after four years will have to submit the cases to the Finance Department for consideration on a case-to-case basis.
