NDRF recovers body of missing Kinner Kailash Yatra pilgrim

Dharamshala, Aug 7 (UNI) A team from the 14th Bn National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) carried out a high-altitude search and rescue operation in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, following a request received from the Deputy Commissioner, Kinnaur.
Dharminder Thakur Deputy Commandant 14 battalion NDRF told UNI here that as per the requisition, a group of pilgrims was returning from the sacred Kinner Kailash Yatra on Wednesday but due to flash floods in a tragic incident, a pilgrim slipped and fell from cliff near Ganesh Gufa.
He said that in response, an NDRF Mountain Rescue Team (MRT), led by SI/GD Govind Meena, was mobilized today.
