VP inaugurates NCC Republic Day Camp 2025

New Delhi, Jan 5 (UNI) Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Sunday inaugurated the NCC Republic Day Camp 2025 and exhorted the cadets to make a commitment to national transformation that rests on five basic pillars namely social harmony, family enlightenment, environmental consciousness, swadeshi and civic duties.
He said, “These Panch–Prana, flowing through our society’s vein forge an unstoppable nationalistic spirit that weaves individual responsibility, traditional values, and environmental awareness into India’s journey towards cultural pride, unity, and self-reliance”, an official statement said.
“Our dedication to the motherland has to be the foremost. It has to be steadfast, unflinching, and unshakeable as it is the foundation of our existence and your generation will architect India’s glory towards 2047,” remarked the Vice President.
Commending the NCC for being a disciplined force that instils virtues essential for human growth, Dhankhar said, "Your membership of the NCC, a very disciplined force, where you imbibe virtues that matter to human growth, gives you a great advantage. The organization instils nationalism and nation-first approach. No nation in the world can grow unless its citizens are deeply committed to nationalism. Nationalism has to override all other interests, personal or organizational. Nation first approach has to be our only approach, maintain these qualities as a tribute to our motherland.”
Describing the cadets as architects of India’s glory towards 2047, he said, “Your generation will architect India’s glory. We are living at a time when national optimism prevails as we approach to becoming the world's third largest global economy. Youth opportunities expand as global institutions hail Bharat as favourite prime investment destination.”
Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh, Director General, NCC and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
This year 2,361 Cadets including 917 girl cadets from 17 NCC Directorates from across the country are participating in Republic Day Camp 2025 which will culminate with the PM’s Rally on 27 January. The cadets will participate in a number of activities, including cultural programmes and institutional training competitions.

A contingent of NCC cadets drawn from all the three wings of Army, Navy and Air Force, presented a “Guard of Honour” to the Vice President on his arrival.
