PM Modi, Congress leaders pay tribute to Nehru on 136th birth anniversary

New Delhi, Nov 14 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister, on his 136th birth anniversary, which is also celebrated nationwide as Children’s Day.
PM Modi shared his tribute on X, stating: "Tributes to former Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Ji on the occasion of his birth anniversary."
Nehru, affectionately known as Chacha Nehru, was a pivotal figure in India's independence movement. Following independence, he played a crucial role in establishing the nation's democratic and secular foundation. His vision emphasized education, scientific development and welfare of children.
