Atishi writes to Delhi CM on implementation of Rs 2500 monthly aid to eligible women

New Delhi, Mar 7 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Atishi on Friday wrote a letter to Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta demanding the implementation of Rs 2,500 monthly aid to eligible women under the Mahila Samriddhi Scheme, as promised by the BJP before the Assembly election.
In a letter to Gupta, Atishi said, "I am writing this letter to you on behalf of lakhs of mothers and sisters of Delhi and I want to remind you that on January 31, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised the mothers and sisters of Delhi that after the formation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Delhi, the scheme of giving Rs 2500 per month will be passed in the first cabinet meeting and women will be given Rs 2500 per month.'
She said Modi also said the money will start coming into women's accounts on that day.
He advised all the women to link their mobile numbers with their bank accounts so that when the money is received in their account, they can get information on their phones.
Atishi said that now only one day is left for Women's Day. Women from all over Delhi are eagerly waiting for this day. They are hoping that the first instalment will start coming into their account from March 8, as promised by the BJP.
The former Chief Minister said the money should be transferred to the accounts of the women of Delhi immediately to get their rights.
Every woman in Delhi is looking up to you, their hopes should not be shattered. I sincerely hope that tomorrow the mothers and sisters of Delhi will get a message on their mobiles that they will receive Rs 2500 in their accounts.
