PM Modi honors 'Bihar Kokila' Sharda Sinha on first death anniversary

New Delhi, Nov 5 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid a tribute to the late folk singing legend, Sharda Sinha, affectionately known as the 'Bihar Kokila,' on her first death anniversary. The Prime Minister acknowledged her immense contribution to the promotion of Bihar's rich art and cultural heritage.
In a post on his official X handle, PM Modi stated, "On the first death anniversary of Bihar Kokila Sharda Sinha ji, heartfelt tribute to her."
He further emphasized her lasting impact, adding, "She gave a new identity to Bihar's art and culture through folk songs, for which she will always be remembered. Her melodious songs associated with the great festival Chhath will forever remain etched in the hearts of the people."
