Delhi: CM Gupta expresses deep sorrow on child’s death by falling in open drain, JE dismissed from service

New Delhi, May 5 (UNI) Chief Minister Rekha Gupta today expressed deep sorrow over the tragic death of an innocent child who had fallen into an open drain in the Mukundpur area of Bhalswa Dairy, Outer North Delhi.
Ms Gupta has described the incident as extremely distressing and alarming, and stated that such negligence is unacceptable under any circumstances.
Acting swiftly on the CM's directives, the Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC) Department has dismissed the contractual Junior Engineer concerned from service with immediate effect.

Three Indian seafarers killed in US strike on tanker off Oman coast

New Delhi, June 11 (UNI) Three Indian seafarers, initially reported missing, have been found dead after a vessel was attacked by US forces off the coast of Oman on Wednesday, Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said.
