INDIA Bloc unites to oppose delimitation link to Women’s Reservation bill after key Delhi meet

‎‎New Delhi, Apr 15 (UNI) Leaders of the INDIA bloc on Wednesday announced a united decision to oppose the proposed delimitation-linked framework of the Women’s Reservation Bill, following a high-level strategy meeting at the residence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi.

‎Addressing the media after the meeting Kharge said, “We are united and have decided to oppose the delimitation bill,” underlining a rare show of cohesion among opposition parties ahead of the upcoming special session of Parliament. The meeting, attended by Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi and senior leaders from multiple opposition groups, focused on concerns surrounding the proposed Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill, 2026.
