IMD predicts light to moderate rain in Delhi-NCR till August 5

New Delhi, July 31 (UNI) Light to moderate rain is likely to occur in Delhi and NCR during the next two hours, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD). The rain is likely in areas of Loni Dehat, Hindon IAF Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad and Ballabhgarh.

The maximum temperature is expected to be 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 26 degrees.
Delhiites experienced waterlogging and traffic disruptions following heavy rains. The areas which saw maximum waterlogging included ITO area, Yamuna Expressway, Delhi-Meerut Expressway, Dhaula Kuan, Nehru Place, Kailash Colony Road, Patel Nagar, Vijay Chowk, Jangpura, RK Puram, Lajpat Nagar and Mehrauli-Gurgaon road.

The IMD has forecast light rain till August 5 for Delhi-NCR. There will be heavy to very heavy rain over the northeast region during the next seven days, as per IMD.
Meanwhile, July has recorded the cleanest air in Delhi in over a decade with the average Air Quality Index (AQI) at 79, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
