Cold wave continues to grip Delhi as temperature dips to 2.9 degrees

New Delhi, 15 Jan (UNI) A biting cold continued its grip on Delhi as cold wave conditions persisted in the region for the fifth consecutive day.
The temperature at Safdarjung, the city’s base weather station, plunged to 2.9°C, the season’s lowest, leaving millions of residents shivering.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Palam recorded the lowest temperature in the city at 2.3°C, around 5 degrees below normal. The cold was widespread, with Ayanagar at 2.7°C, Lodhi Road at 3.4°C, and Ridge recording the highest minimum at 4.5°C.
