India Pharma 2026 concludes with strong push for funding, infrastructure and faster innovation

New Delhi, Apr 14 (UNI) The two-day ‘India Pharma 2026’ summit concluded on Tuesday with a strong consensus among policymakers, industry leaders and researchers on the need to enhance funding, build robust infrastructure and accelerate processes to drive the next phase of pharmaceutical innovation in the country.
The 9th edition of the event, organised by the Department of Pharmaceuticals under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers in association with FICCI and Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance, witnessed participation from over 800 delegates and more than 60 national and international speakers across 10 sessions.
Deliberations on the second day centred on strategic investments and forward-looking approaches to strengthen India’s pharmaceutical and biopharma ecosystem. Two plenary sessions and a valedictory session focused on building a resilient financing ecosystem and charting innovation-led growth pathways.
