Delhi Govt to open 100 'Atal Canteens' to provide meals to poor at Rs 5

New Delhi, Nov 7 (UNI) The Delhi government will open ‘Atal Canteens' at 100 locations across the city where nutritious, hygienically prepared meals will be available at just Rs 5, in a measure of relief to the economically weaker sections.
The ‘Atal Canteen Scheme’ will also help strengthen the principles of social equality and dignity, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said on Friday, announcing the scheme.
The CM stated that in the first phase, such canteens will be opened at 100 locations across the city, adding that places for these canteens have been identified.
